Traditional PI fieldwork consists of surveillance, interviews, garbage collection & processing (garbage archaeology), GPS Tracking, and other investigative methods that involve putting a trained body in the field.
Conducting surveillance is an essential part of many, but not all, investigations. Monitoring the behavior, movements, and location of a subject can provide invaluable information to be used in a number of ways.
Surveillance operations begin by collecting as much information as possible from the client (you), individuals close to the target, and database reports. Once information related to the purpose of the operation, background intel on the target, and basic patterns that the target is known to exhibit is collected a highly-skilled and trained investigator takes to the field. Video, audio, and written documentation is collected as the target is monitored. Detailed reports are then produced, presenting any and all findings in an easy-to-understand format for you or your attorney. Included with the report are explanations of what can be done with the current evidence, as well what further steps would be recommended in conducting you investigation.
This option is highly recommended for a number of situations, including individuals who suspect their spouse or significant other of infidelity, those involved in custodial disputes and dissolutions, defendants in criminal matters and their council, as well those involved in a variety of other civil matters. .
Garbage Collection and Processing
Conducting Garbage Collection and Processing operations is a dirty job (literally) but can produce intel that no other source can. Receipts detailing shopping and spending habits, evidence of alcohol and drug use, bills and collection notices, general discarded mail, and handwritten notes are all commonly found in trash left out for pick up.
RMRI’s team are trained to covertly collect the trash. After collection, the trash is taken to a secure location where skilled investigators sift through and document its contents. Once everything is cataloged, a report is prepared detailing the findings, what can be done with the current evidence, and what further steps we would recommend in conducting you investigation. As with all of our services, the investigator who worked your case will be available to testify in hearings, trials, and other settings necessary to accomplish your objective.
This option is highly recommended for those involved in custodial disputes and dissolutions.
Conducting interviews with witnesses, either openly or covertly, can provide clarity in many situations where court actions are being implemented based on a narrative provided by an individuals. Discrepancies that arrive from these interviews can undermine the credibility of the testimony of those whose statements cast a shadow on you or your client. Interviews can alternatively be used to document proof of innocence or good character, such as providing an alibi. In criminal and civil cases alike, attorneys are barred from testifying on behalf of their client, making a private investigator-conducted interview essential to getting the truth introduced in court.
This option is highly recommended for defendants in criminal matters and their council, as well those involved in a variety of civil matters.
GPS Tracking allows for an individuals movements to be precisely monitored from the comfort of an office chair. Coupled with covert surveillance, this can prove to be an incredibly powerful tool for getting the results you desire, whether that means catching a spouse at an old flame’s house, an individual violating an order of protection, or an opposing party in a civil matter visiting a location that calls into question their character or credibility. Although it requires a greater initial financial investment, a GPS Tracking device allows for strategic surveillance, potentially saving you thousands of dollars depending on the size and scope of your investigation.
After a trained investigator covertly installs a GPS monitoring device on the target vehicle, information related to the travel history of that vehicle and its driver will be continually collected. The information is analyzed by a trained investigator to determine trends and behavior patterns which are then translated into easy-to-understand reports, coupled with suggestions as to what can be done with the current evidence, as well as what further steps we would recommend in conducting you investigation.
This option is highly recommended for individuals who suspect their spouse or significant other of infidelity, as well those involved in custodial disputes and dissolutions.
