‘Tis The Season for Security
The holiday season is upon us! Turkey and turkey sandwiches, and then onto a Christmas ham and candy canes! This is the season to be with family and extended family. And apparently we all look forward to Black Friday, just look at the crowds! According to an article in the Huffington Post, the average American holiday shopper spent $423 over Black Friday weekend in 2012. That is a lot of money, and a lot of gifts! The holiday season is the time to think SECURITY!
According to an article from the Washington Post, retail crime increases by 30% during this time of year. Many of these thieves work in organized retail crime groups, stealing tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise to sell on the black market. Jewelry, name-brand jeans, and electronics are among some of the most-targeted items.
